The DPRK delegation participated in III 7

The seventh session of the Sub-Committee on Implementation of IMO Instruments was held remotely from 12 to 16 July 2021. Present were over 240 delegates from 79 States including the DPRK as well as 23 international organizations.

The Sub-Committee gave considerations to fourteen agenda items including alleged inadequacy of port reception facilities, analysis of marine safety investigations and lessons therefrom, measures to harmonize port State control, analysis of consolidated IMO audit reports and related actions to be taken, etc.

As a result, draft amendments to the Updated Survey Guidelines under the Harmonized System of Survey and Certification, Non-exhaustive list of obligations under instruments relevant to the IMO Instruments Implementation Code, etc. which are now expected to be adopted as Assembly resolutions at the 32^nd session of the Assembly of IMO.
